So yeah a couple of ya been asking about da songs how they came about,inspiration, da truth or NOT. Oh & where da concept 4 mi Revolucion came from. We'll ya sure got lot's of questions! (WINK!)
So, here's da dirt:
I been holed up in da studio & home studio 4 da last couple of yrs or so basically everything has been studio I swear I'm a walking studio. U see that's why when it's show time it's REALLY NOISE TIME!!! FUN TIME!!!!! MEOW!!!!!!!
Anyway, how rude of me. I hear NOISE TIME & I GET DISTRACTED...CONO! K. so I wanted 2 work on something fly umh? high energy a bit different than what I had been writing & producing (R&B/Raggae/ Folk/Underground Hip Hop etc.). I wanted 2 step outside of my own boundaries, challenge myself & @ da same time I wanted 2 explore my latin side (tu sabe!).So, I started laying down some uptempo riddims with some vocals references in hopes of finding another female emcee 2 spit em. We'll that neva happened just like when I did a reference on spanish remix NO QUIERO SABER (I Don't Wanna Know by: Mario Wynans) & lata I turn da radio on & I hear myself on it. Oye they kept my reference CRAZY FLY! Oh & they also featured me in da 1st Perrealo DVD with Adventura & Nina Sky DopE!!! Yeah da trips been CHACO!!! a lot o hardwork, stressfull @ times but mad fun especially when I'm out there with Ya!

People ask me why I don't write my songs Just in English or Spanish. I tell em I've been writing songs since I was kid I'm born & raised in bklyn how else & am I supposed 2 write. I grew up Spanglish homies. Spanish @ home English everywhere else. Shoo, I feel proud every1 should b proud of who they r & where they from. I AM WHO I AM.
Da songs cover topics from love 2 abuse 2 boasting 2 fun 2 not givin a _____ what anyone thinks. I think I'ma post a lyrics section @ my site with song translations both in English & Spanish. SHOO! I loved it last show when ya sang with me. Ya made me BLUSH ya FLY!!!!!!! umh? I think dat'll b cool. Oh maybe I'll just start a song blog what ya think?
